Who is the third player? |
Ultimate Foursome?
This is a tough one, only because, how do you choose? I would definitely, no doubt about it, bring my Mom. She plays 6 days a week, sometimes 36 holes. And she’s the best female golfer I’ve ever seen! Not to mention she’s got the best attitude on the course.
Then I’d have to pick Tiger, I mean, how could you not? He’s the best golfer in the world for a reason…I might actually learn something! To round out the foursome, I’d bring Chris Rock. He’s a riot and I think in a round of golf, comic relief is KEY!
Favorite Local Course:
My favorite course is Rhode Island Country Club. I played my best round ever there for the CVS Charity Classic Media Tournament. I shot a 93 and my group got first place! I absolutely loved that course! I enjoy the back 4 holes along the water the best. The Donald Ross design makes it fun and challenging at the same time.
Favorite Course Outside of Rhode Island:
I actually have two favorite courses, and mostly because of the memories I’ve had on them. The very first course I played on was Sebasco Golf Course on Casco Bay in Maine.
This course is a few miles down the road from my summer beach home, and in the late afternoon, my father and mother and I would head over to play 9 holes before dinner. I have so many memories on this course. It follows along the ocean for some holes, and along the mosquito-infested marshes on the others. And yes, it’s SPEED GOLF when you’re trying to avoid getting eaten alive!
My other favorite course is my home course in Morristown, New Jersey. Morris County Golf Club. My parents are members here, and again, I have many memories. I must have played this course at least once a week last summer when I was living in New Jersey. My mother and I would go out and play 18 at any chance we got. We have a lot of family dinners in the Clubhouse, and I’d find myself going out by myself for a quick 9 after dinner. You can’t beat a solo-round at dusk! I’ve brought many friends to this course and it’s always a special time for me. This course is LONG and HILLY and extremely challenging. My favorite hole is the 18th. It’s a blind tee off, and you have to aim right because the entire hole slopes left to the water. FUN FUN FUN!!!
Best/Average 9 Hole Score:
I typically average 47 My best 9 hole score was 45.
Best/Average 18 Hole Score:
My best 18 hole score was a 93. I typically average 96 for 18.
Biggest Golf Moment:
My most memorable golf moment happened on the 17th hole at Kirkbrae Country Club, Rhode Island. I was having “one of those rounds”. Then again, when don’t I!? I chipped in for a birdie on this par 3 and it was the best feeling I’ve ever had on a golf shot! I have birdied holes, but NEVER on a chip in. Seeing that ball roll on the green and then disappear into the cup was awesome. Of course, a tee shot disappearing is one of the best sports scenes there is, but I’ll take what I got!
