Did you know that the Coventry, Rhode Island is home to a golf putter company?
Well, it is true! The Celestial Putter Company is owned and operated by local businessman and avid golfer Joe Richard.
Joe (pictured to the right with his son Brock) also owns J & M Custom Mold which is the same facility where Celestial Putters are produced.

Another interesting piece of information about the he Celestial Putter is that is looks remarkably similar to a constellation of stars known as NGC 752 and Harrington’s STAR 14 (“The Golf Putter”)
The company's flagship model is the CELESTIAL .15™ PUTTER. The technology of the putter promotes 'over-spin' rather than "back-spin" that most traditional putters create due their lofted faces. Richard leveraged his molding and engineering background to create this very unique computer which provides interesting playability characteristics. The putter was machined for precision weighted balance and 'over spin', and its outer cover allows for more ball feel on contact by designing the Celestial's putter face. A key point of difference between the Celestial Putter and the majority of its counterparts is that the Celestial's club face is radial in design while most putters have a lofted face which imparts backspin. Backspin causes your ball to hop when initially struck by most putters

We were impressed by how the putter is equally-effective on both the putting green as well as around the fringe. Currently Celestial Putters are being used by some professional golfers, most notably those on the local Cleveland Tour.
The CELESTIAL .15™ PUTTER retails for $174.95. For more information, visit the Celestial Putter website at http://www.celestialputter.com/home.html.
